This class was so popular we’ve brought it back for an encore!
Singing in front of other people can be empowering, joyful and fun. It can also be freakin’ scary. Maybe you’re Pavarotti in the shower, but the idea of singing in public turns you into a quivering mess. Maybe you used to sing in school and are now a bit rusty. Or maybe you are, actually, Pavarotti. Welcome back sir – we missed you. No matter who you are, this fun class is the perfect way to get your vocal chords vibrating in all the right ways.
Acapella is singing without musical accompaniment. In this fun class we’ll cover basic breathing exercises and vocal warm ups that you can practice at home to improve your confidence and skill as a singer. Then we’ll jump right into singing acapella-style and lift the roof off St Kevin’s Arcade!
Anji Kreft has been a professional Vocalist for approximately 20 years and has taught singing to individuals and groups for around 15 years. She is the founder and tutor for two current choirs in Auckland (SING!), she teaches singing to young people with intellectual disabilities on a weekly basis and she performs solo gigs on a regular basis, primarily throughout the North Island.
Anji has been teaching acapella for about 5 years, having established a women’s acapella group when she lived in Wellington (No Fella Acapella) and then again when she relocated to Auckland in April 2014. Anji believes it’s essential to have fun when learning new skills and she looks forward to having a giggle with you!
